# Building Agents

[Set Noa](https://tajo.io/tr/set-noa/)

**In short:** you hire an agent in the app under **Team**. You give it a role and instructions, then pick its tools and skills from a fixed list. Whatever you pick, a send it schedules waits for your approval.

Most work does not need a new agent. Every workspace starts with 15 built-in agents. The nine that sync work runs through cover building a sync, running it, building lists, drafting, reviewing and reporting: see [Tajo agents](https://tajo.io/tr/docs/guides/agents/). Hire your own when you want the same job done the same way every time, with instructions you wrote.

## Hire an agent

1. **Open Team, then New.**

2. **Name it and give it a role.** The role is a short slug, such as `welcome_series`. The 15 built-in roles are reserved, and a workspace holds one agent per role.

3. **Write its instructions.** Say what it is for, what it should check before acting, and when it should stop and ask you.

4. **Pick its tools.** The list is fixed:

   | Tool | What it does |
   | --- | --- |
   | Request human approval | Pauses and asks you before a risky step |
   | Compute segment | Builds a contact list from a description |
   | Draft template | Writes an email or SMS template body in your brand voice |
   | Schedule dispatch | Queues an email, SMS or WhatsApp send. Always waits for your approval |

5. **Pick its skills.** Skills are written guidance, such as email craft, email compliance or deliverability. They change how the agent works, not what it can do.

6. **Set a monthly budget,** if you want a cap.

## Run it on a schedule

Ask on the home screen with a schedule in the request, for example *“Every Monday, draft a welcome email for contacts who opted in last week and ask me before sending.”* The request becomes a routine. Schedule words map to fixed UTC times, listed in [Tajo 101](https://tajo.io/tr/docs/guides/tajo-101/#routines).

Routines started by an event, such as a new order, are not built yet.

## What a new agent cannot do

- **Send without you.** Scheduling a send always pauses for your approval, and the approval covers only the exact send you saw.
- **Reach contacts who did not opt in.** A marketing send needs an opt-in on its channel.
- **Use tools outside the list.** There is no agent file format and no way to hand an agent arbitrary API tools.
- **Build or publish a sync.** That is the Brevo Integration Architect’s job, and publishing waits for your approval.
